No, it’s not ok for you to change your baby on a pile of clothes at Old Navy. Totally Disgusting! Then, you wonder why people are taking pictures of you and looking at you strangely. Well, it could be that you exposed your baby and his poop and piss to everyone that would potentially buy those clothes. As a friend said, they should have kicked her out, but not before she bought everything on the table. This also goes for not changing your baby or breast feeding at the restaurant table.
I know it’s controversial. I don’t want to have it shoved down my throat as I have paid for my meal, too. I don’t need to see someone’s breast at the dinner table or a soiled diaper. There are other places you can take that; appropriate places like the bathroom or the car. It makes people uncomfortable and believe it or not, you and your children don’t get more rights than the rest of us just because your kids exist.
Keep your kids in check. Don’t take them on an airplane and give them nothing to occupy themselves. Just because you have children doesn’t mean you can forget your manners or not teach your own kids manners. That’s how they become well-socialized adults. Trust me. It won’t hurt them to learn to treat others with respect and kindness and to be considerate. It’s a skill they’ll use the rest of their lives.
Indeed!
